Out on a Limb, Written 11/13/2010

Out on a Limb

How much more intriguing would I be,
If I lived high up within a tree?
Refusing to come down
Among the limbs I'd dance around,
Imagining myself to be Robin Hood
From the very branch on which I stood,
From my quiver to bow and feathered hat
Speaking in ye ol woodsman tone at that,
A Robin Hood without his merry men
All alone I am left my tree to defend.
